Request Money – A convenient way to request money

Interac e-Transfer Request Money helps make it easy for people to pay you. Recipients are notified of your request through email or text message, and they can pay you through their own participating Canadian financial institution 2 using Interac e-Transfer. If the recipient accepts your request, you're notified once the money is deposited directly into the TD bank account you choose 4 .

Use Request Money as a reminder for a friend to pay you back, or include an invoice number as a convenient way for customers to pay you!

Interac e-Transfer Fees

There is no transfer fee to use either Send Money or Request Money with the following accounts:

The Send Money transfer fee, if applicable, is charged to the account from which the money is sent at the time it is sent. 4

The Request Money transfer fee, if applicable, is charged to the account into which the money is deposited at the time of deposit, if the recipient accepts the request 4 . There is no transfer fee to accept a request 4 .

Transfers can only be made from Canadian dollar bank accounts. 4 If the recipient collects the money through online banking with a participating Canadian financial institution, the transfer will usually take place within 30 minutes. If the recipient chooses to deposit the money using the Interac e-Transfer site, it will take approximately 4-6 business days to complete and a service fee will be deducted by Acxsys Corporation. 5 There are limits on the amounts you can send using Interac e-Transfer:
