As a premier worldwide organization for the urologic community, the AUA is committed to maintaining transparency in its relationships. The AUA requires that prior to participating in programs all individuals make full disclosures of all financial and intellectual conflicting interests (COIs), i.e., private or institutional interests of individuals which may, under certain circumstances, compete or conflict with their duties owed to the AUA. These COIs include affiliations, ownership interests, investment interests, intellectual property interests, business or employment relationships, scientific studies or trials, presentations or publications, with (1) any entity researching and developing, producing, marketing, selling, re-selling or distributing health care products used by or on patients; (2) healthcare publications; or (3) other medical associations. All disclosures for the past 24 months must be provided.
Disclosures should be recorded for the following AUA or AUA-accredited activities:
Note: Disclosure records for manuscript submission for The Journal of Urology® and Annual Meeting abstracts are recorded through a separate submission process.
